The British Institute for the Study of Iraq (BISI) is pleased to announce a Student Poster Competition in collaboration with the British Association of Near Eastern Archaeology (BANEA), the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA), the British Institute of Persian Studies (BIPS), the Egypt Exploration Society (EES) and Oxbow Books. The Student Poster Competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students at UK universities engaged in the study of the lands and peoples of Iraq, the Levant, Turkey, Iran and the wider Middle East. Posters will be displayed at the upcoming BANEA Conference, offering students the opportunity to present and discuss the innovative and creative research that they are undertaking with both the academic community and the wider public and providing them with an opportunity to raise the profile of their research. We welcome applications on any topic in the archaeology of the Middle East and related themes in history, languages, and heritage. Student poster submissions will be assessed during the poster session on 10th January by a committee comprised of representatives from the above institutes.
